In traveling around the world these past twenty plus years, I have met this issue perhaps the most: this sense that it may be for others but not for me. And I am here to tell you it is for you, if you want it. It is not for you if you have no desire or call or yearning for the truth or to live a life that is in the depths, coming from the depths of your being.

But if you have that desire, if somehow you have been touched by something that is calling your name, then, if you are willing to trust that, as an experiment, not as a religion or a dogma, but as an experiment, then you can discover the root of that yearning is this radiance of being that has nothing to do with average or above average, with great being or ordinary being.

It is consciousness itself, and that is who you are. And that is who everyone you meet is. And when you realize that, then you find yourself, certainly in the Buddha, in the great saints, in Ramana, but you also find yourselves in the most simple or the most average or below average human being. So it is for you, if there is some call within you.
